Privacy Policy

We collect the minimum information needed to give you a useful career roadmap. We don't sell your data. You can delete your account at any time and your data goes with it. We use AI to generate your roadmap, which means your inputs are briefly processed by our AI provider (Anthropic). Read on for specifics.

CareerPath is an AI-powered career planning tool. This policy describes how we handle your information when you use CareerPath.

When you sign up and use CareerPath, we collect:

• Account info: your email address and a hashed password.
• Career info: your education, skills, experience level, target role, and industry — whatever you share during onboarding.
• Progress: which milestones in your roadmap you've started, completed, or saved.
• Saved items: courses you marked as taken, jobs you bookmarked, certifications you're pursuing.
• Analytics: anonymous usage data (pages viewed, actions taken) to improve the product. We use PostHog, which respects Do Not Track signals.
• Feedback: if you submit feedback through our in-app form, your message and user agent string.

We use a small number of vendors to run the app:

• Supabase: account authentication and database storage.
• Anthropic (Claude): AI roadmap generation. Your career inputs are sent to Anthropic to generate your path. Anthropic's privacy policy applies.
• Adzuna: job listings. We send your target role and career stage to Adzuna to return matching jobs.
• PostHog: privacy-respecting analytics.
• Resend: transactional emails (signup confirmation, feedback notifications).
• Vercel: hosting.

We don't sell your data to advertisers. We don't share it beyond what's needed to run the service.

We use cookies to keep you logged in and to track anonymous usage analytics. If you don't want analytics cookies, you can disable them in your browser.

Some course links in CareerPath may be affiliate links — if you enroll in a course through us, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps us keep the core product free. We only recommend courses we believe are relevant to your roadmap.

At any time, you can:

• Export your data (contact us and we'll send you a JSON file).
• Delete your account, which deletes all associated data within 30 days.
• Correct any inaccurate information through your profile settings.

CareerPath is intended for users 13 and older. If you're under 18, please use the service with a parent or guardian.

We may update this policy as CareerPath evolves. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. If changes are significant, we'll notify you by email.
